Assessment
To earn this A Level you will need to undertake 2 written examinations that will test your knowledge of the materials taught across all 4 topics. At the same time, you will need to demonstrate your understanding and competency when applying philosophical theories to your answers.
Paper 1: Epistemology and Moral Philosophy – this 3 hour written examination carries 50% of the total weight of your A Level and will explore your knowledge of the materials taught in topics 1 and 2. This will be achieved through 5 questions on epistemology and 5 questions on moral philosophy.
Paper 2: The metaphysics of God and the metaphysics of Mind – this 3 hour written examination carries 50% of the total weight of your A Level grade and will explore your knowledge of the materials taught in Topics 3 and 4. This will be achieved by answering 5 questions on the metaphysics of God and a further 5 on the metaphysics of Mind.
Please Note: To fully complete this course you will need to take the standard A Level examinations (you can obtain specific dates from the AQA website). You will need to book these examinations yourself and they will come with an additional fee separate from the cost of this course.
