About This Course
Our Introduction to Event Management Level 2 course has been developed for people who are interested in event management and would like to boost their careers by equipping themselves with the skills needed to professionally organise events.
This home study course will teach you all about the event planning process and how to select the perfect venue.
You will discover how to create and organise festivals, outside concerts and charity events and learn about the health and safety aspects of event management.
Studying this course will develop your expertise in building client relationships and help you discover ways of marketing your business.
Study at your own pace as you have a full year to complete this course (which takes an average of 80 hours). All materials will be delivered by post or email and coursework for marking is sent to your tutor by post or email for your convenience.
Unit 1: An introduction to customer service and the event manager’s role. Key strengths of an event manager. Delivering excellent customer service and client support.
Unit 2: Explores the event planning process including selecting a venue, research, overcoming challenges and event documentation.
Unit 3: The different types of event planning; birthday parties, black tie events, charity events, festivals and outdoor concerts.
Unit 4: Study risk assessment at events and discover the health and safety policies for different types of events. Learn about the role of a health and safety coordinator.
Unit 5: Planning small events including small corporate events and events in private homes. Developing excellent client relationships and overcoming challenges.
Unit 6: How to run an event management company from home. Discover how to start and market your business as well as learning about IT requirements and the financial details required by HMRC.
Introduction to Event Management Level 2 is assessed by a series of coursework that is submitted to your tutor by post or email.
No external examination is necessary for this course.
No prior knowledge of event management is required to enrol on this course.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
