Assessment

In order to achieve the full GCSE Religious Studies qualification, students are required to pass three written exams. Exams take place in May and June, but we recommend students book them as early as possible to ensure their place. Students will need to sit their exams at an exam centre, which will require a separate fee paid directly to the facility. We’ll help you book your exams when you’re ready.

  • 1 hour written exam
  • Worth 25% of overall GCSE Religious Studies marks

Exam 2: 

  • 1 hour written exam
  • Worth 25% of overall GCSE Religious Studies marks

Exam 3: 

  • 2 hour written exam
  • Worth 50% of overall GCSE Religious Studies marks
