Assessment
Assessment consists of two mandatory units. GIC1 is a scenario-based open-book examination followed by a closing interview, during which you will answer questions about your submission. GIC2 is a practical workplace risk assessment and action plan. You must pass both assessments to achieve the qualification.
The £629 Course Only option excludes assessment registration and fees. Learners choosing this option must arrange their assessments separately through a NEBOSH Learning Partner.
Required Knowledge
There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners should have a suitable standard of written and spoken English to understand the course content and complete the assessments. NEBOSH recommends English language ability equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or higher.
Awarding Body
NEBOSH, the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, is the awarding organisation. Learners who successfully pass both GIC1 and GIC2 will receive the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. This qualification is recognised internationally in the field of occupational health and safety.
